I'm back at work and as always happens whenever you take time off you pay for it. I am scheduled for 48 hours a week over the next two weeks. Let me just state this plainly. This sucks. OK. enough complaining. I am bleary eyed after looking at all the pictures I took. Over 2000. Now most of them were easy to delete. That's the beauty of a digital camera and memory cards. Picking out the keepers is one thing and enhancing them is another. Don't get me wrong I enjoy doing it. Then there are the movie clips. There's a lot of them as well. So this is pretty much all the talking I'm going to do. Here are two little movies then some pictures. The first one is taking the ferry over to the island and arriving at the hotel. The second one is of the Gingerbread Houses. There's over 300 of them. Most of them are concentrated on a campground that is owned by the city of Oak Bluff while the houses are privately owned. Some have been handed down through the generations and people live there year round. The others are rented out during the tourist season. Did I mention that I fell in love with the island? The second video does not work. I will post it again. Hopefully the second attempt will work.
Can anybody suggest a good site to post photo albums? I have found a few but I'd like some opinions. Now a few more photos.
So that's about it for now. Thanks to all of you who do visit.
I'm outta here.
The reason that the second video is on here twice is because I was told there was an error during uploading so I uploaded it again. Now it appears there was no error This is the second time I have written this post. The same thing happened the first time. Oh well...
ReplyDeleteTry Picasa web albums which go well with Blogger or try flickr
ReplyDeleteHi Paul. Sorry about all the hours now. I think the others need ah break covering for you ;-)
ReplyDeleteI saw the first video and it was wonderful! I will come back tonight to see the other. Your vacation looks like it was great.
The videos are great. Love the gingerbread houses. Flickr is where Carole posts here. I think you will like it.
ReplyDeleteDon't work too hard.
Thing about Flickr is, after 175 free pictures, you need to pay for an account. If you never exceed 175 photos or thereabouts..forgot the exact number..then it's all free.
ReplyDeleteIt was worth it to me to pay for an account. 25 bucks a years.
Oh yeah...I SO well KNOW that punishment for taking time off. BOY do I know and it stinks when they do that to you. That and bountiful overtime.
ReplyDeleteIm in love with this place Paul. Thank you for taking me with you though your photos and vidios.
ReplyDeleteFlickr is good but also someplace else to put photos. I have been there for years now.
I do love to blog better.
These are gorgeous photos and the style of old home I love to see. I hope to get a few while in Charlotte this weekend but the youngest wants to go to a REN Faire. Sigh. Not enough time for downtown Charlotte. (that's where the old Victorian preserved stuff is)
ReplyDeleteBlessings....
ReplyDeletethose houses look almost perfect, and the streets so clean..wow. I'll catch up with you another time. Have a fabulous day
