Boy do I have a lot of junk, My favorite pictures

I have taken the last two days off from sorting through things, what to keep and what to part with. Some record albums were hard to part with. Some I know I could have sold. I kept my favorites. Of course I rebought a good deal of them on cd's, which now is just more old tech. I have old tech electronics, a reel to reel tape recorder with about seven reels of tape, two cassette player recorders including a good deal of cassettes, then there are the various computer related things. Going through my desk revealed that I have a multitude of pens and markers and so on. Now I have moved several times before and of course I have gathered more "stuff" each time. I guess I'm at the stage of my life when I just want to unclutter it.

Then again it wasn't just me hanging around in sweat pants. Even though I am semi-retired I still work three full days a week and I find that I have good energy at work, in fact I have to say I have more energy than people 30 or 35 years younger than me. However after the 30-40 minute ride home I find that I am 80 years old trying to get out of my car and I am not real excited to keep working. However on the other hand I do have four days a week off. I like that.

Things are a bit iffy about taking a Springtime trip to Martha's Vineyard. On the other hand we have been there 11 times since 2010 so I guess I can take a miss if that's how things work out. I am lucky that I have been able to take advantage of this little gem of a place in my back yard at all. I look at the pictures all the time. Arlene and I have put nights aside just to look at the pictures and videos. If I hit the lottery that's where I'm moving. I also have looked at some of my favorite pictures of other local places I have been since 2007 when I first began taking pictures. Last blog I made a slideshow of our visit the Harvard Museum of Natural History. Yesterday I looked at some of the pictures of Boston. The beautiful Boston Public Gardens The Boston Common and the North End of Boston. The North end has Paul Reveres house, the Old North Church and 50 restaurants, 43 of which are Italian. It's a very Italian neighborhood. If you ever make to Boston you must set a day aside to hit the North End. Just about any of the restaurants will give you a fantastic meal. I can recommend Piccola Venezia, "Little Venice". This is what I ate that day. I can't remember what it was called but it was fabulous.

Here are some of favorite Boston pictures.

That's All Folks! I'm outta here.

  2. If you don't make your Springtime Trip as usual, I really think you will regret it. I can't put my finger on why but it is a feeling I have and hope things work out so you do go. Thank you for the Boston Tour! You are very artistic with the composition of all of these photos. It is a wonderful visual documentation of some Boston Areas.

  3. Boston Boy, I know what you are saying about feeling strong one minute and wore out the next. LOL. Me too. Some days I work like mad... and I am sore the next day...but I am thankful that I have sore muscles and aching back ...it means I did some labor..that I can still do things. I think some times people just give up too easily..you stay strong. I loved the film clip. I remember seeing so many of those things when we were in Boston. I would love to go back and visit again. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
