For a change of pace and maybe just for myself, here is one of the prettiest Beatles songs. It doesn't get the recognition that some of there other tunes get and it's a bit on the teenage end of song writing concerning the lyrics but the melody and harmonies are first rate.
I just realized that the color I chose for the font above wasn't a wise choice so it's back to white on black. Hey I have a quick and easy solution for the TSA and all their problems with screening and groping passengers. Everybody fly naked.
An elderly woman came to the counter and ordered some ham. She was very nice and pleasant. I cut a slice and showed it to her to see if she wanted it thicker or thinner.
"How's this for your slice?"
She smiled. Paused a bit and replied, "That's funny!"
I looked at her for a couple of seconds an slowly turned back to finish her order. The wise guy in me wanted to say, "Would you like it sliced funnier or not so funny?" I didn't. She was a sweet old lady and I would never say that to anybody. Unless I knew them.
OK I realize this wasn't much of a blog but I wanted to sneak one in before Thanksgiving and wish everybody a happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy your family and friends because in the end that's all that really matters.

ReplyDeleteAbout the flying, did you see the news tonight about the gal that decided she wasn't going to wait for all that patting down? She wore a little black bikini through the line, lol. Gotta hand it to her for braveness, and the news loved it as you can imagine. Might be a new trend in the making.
By the way, that's one of my favorite Beatle's songs. It's beautiful and relaxing. As far as Christmas carols go, I'm sick of them by the 2nd day. There oughta be a law: no carols until Christmas Eve.

ReplyDeleteIt's getting crazier and crazier in the world "out there" and the insaity is probably going to be with us for a long time to come. At the end of the day, it's good people like you and the dear souls who visit us and our conections of friendship with each other which remind us how profoundly sweet life truly is, and that some of the craziness really isn't so bad.
Now, may I have one pound of ham, sliced very funny, and a half pound of swiss cheese sliced very absurd?

ReplyDeleteYeah, it was murder on the eyes. I had to highlight it to read. If you looking for another color beside the old staple of white you can always use Sky blue, or go for the flouresents like yellow, green, they'll show up alright...lol, lol.
Hope your thanksgiving went well. Ours is in October, didn't do much in the way of cooking blah blah blah, just thank the lord for all that allows me to live my life.
